Now Railways has taken a big decision keeping in mind the return of passengers after the end of Chhath Puja and the crowd arising from it. Railways has arranged for more than 500 special trains in view of the rush of passengers returning to their home areas since November 8. Railway Board has given information about this on Wednesday.

A statement issued by the Railway Board said, “Special trains have been announced for returning passengers and plans have been made to run additional trains from Samastipur, Danapur and other divisions to meet the local demand.” Has been.”

In the notice issued by the Railway Board, it has been said that the rush of passengers will start after sunrise on November 8, the day of Chhath Puja. Keeping in mind the possibility of rush of passengers, Railways has made arrangements for 164 special trains on November 8. The Railways then plans to run 160 special trains on November 9, 161 trains on November 10 and 155 special trains on November 11.

Railway Board has informed that on November 4, a 'record' 120.72 lakh passengers had traveled by railways in a single day. The board has informed that of these passengers, 19.43 lakh were reserved passengers and 101.29 lakh were unreserved non-suburban passengers. This number of passengers traveling by railway is more than the combined population of Australia and New Zealand. Railway Board has informed that in the last 36 days, about 65 lakh passengers have traveled by 4,521 special trains. According to the Railway Board, a total of 7,724 special trains have been announced to meet the increasing travel demand during festivals from October 1 to November 30.
