New Delhi: The weather patterns are going to change in many states of North India. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Punjab and Haryana during the next 24 hours. In fact, a fresh western disturbance may affect the plains from December 8. Due to this, there is a possibility of snowfall in the Himalayan region and rain in some states.
The weather department has predicted a gradual decline of minimum temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius in parts of northwest India during the week. Due to this, cold wave can be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, North Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of dense fog during late night and morning hours in different parts of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh during December 7 to 10. Light fog can also be seen in Delhi, East UP and Bihar in the morning.
It will rain heavily here
According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain at different places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on 11-12 December. Heavy rainfall is predicted over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema on 12 December.
Heavy rain is likely over Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram districts of Tamil Nadu as well as Karaikal on December 11. Heavy rain is expected in Chengalpattu, Viluppuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram districts, Puducherry and Karaikal on December 12.

The maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR has dropped by 3 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi currently range between 23 to 26 degrees Celsius and 08 to 11 degrees Celsius respectively. The sky will be mainly clear in Delhi during the afternoon and there will be haze and light fog in different directions.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the level of air pollution in Delhi today is in the 'moderate' category. On Saturday morning, a thin layer of fog was seen in the area around India Gate. A thin layer of smog is also seen in Barapula area of Delhi.
