Bollywood's most expensive and dreaded villain Amrish Puri said goodbye to the world on January 12, 2005. He started his film career in 1971 with the film 'Reshma Aur Shera'. From Mogambo of the film 'Mr. India' to Baldev Singh Choudhary of 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', he has made a special identity. Veteran actor Amrish Puri is also known for his exorbitant fees. He left the government job and chose the path of acting and Amrish, who had come to become a hero, became a villain and became a hit.

Amrish Puri was diagnosed with his disease in the year 2003. Because of that disease he had no appetite and was becoming weak. Despite this he completed his work commitments. He had signed 5 films, which included 'Kachchi Sadak', 'Mujh Se Shaadi Karoge', 'Kisna', 'Hulchal' and 'Aitraaz'. He completed the shooting of these films even in such a serious condition. In 2003, he met with an accident during the shooting of 'Jaal The Trap', after which he had to undergo a blood transfusion. After this he became a victim of myelodysplastic syndrome. Famous actor Amrish Puri, who played the role of villain, made his debut in 1967 with the Marathi film 'Shantatu Court Chalu Aahe'. She made her Bollywood debut in 1971 with 'Reshma Aur Shera'.

Amrish Puri had done more than 400 films in his 30-year career on screen. Amrish Puri is known for his iconic characters in films like 'Mr. India', 'Tehelka' and 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' which are also immortal. Mogambo in 'Mr. India' released in 1987, Baldev Singh Chaudhary in 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', Bhaironath in Sridevi's film 'Nagina' in 1986, Thakur Durjan Singh in 'Karan-Arjun' and Amrish in the film 'Gadar'. Puri played the memorable character of Major Ashraf Ali. Let us tell you that on January 12, 2005, Amrish Puri left this world at the age of 72.
