Hindi cinema's famous late actress Sridevi may not be among us today, but her fans have not been able to forget her films and characters even today. She has been in the news mostly because of her strong characters and unheard stories from blockbuster films. 20 years ago, she worked with Akshay Kumar in a film, after the release of which people kept looking for the climax in the movie. Years later, Akshay Kumar has told the real reason behind why this happened.
The makers had suffered a loss of crores
In the year 2004, a film was released which was released without a climax. That is Sridevi and Akshay Kumar's film 'Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahi'. While Sridevi and Akshay Kumar are always in the news for their superhit films, this film proved to be a disaster at that time. Not only this, these two superstars were seen together on screen for the first and last time, but their pairing flopped. Made for Rs 2 crore, this film could not make any significant collection at the box office. The film was jointly directed by SM Iqbal, Pankaj Parashar and Jaydev Chakraborty.
The film was released in 2004 without climax
In the film, a poster was shown on the screen in the name of climax, in which an attempt was made to show the message by writing a note. Actually, the producer had left this film starring Sridevi and Akshay Kumar midway. Akshay Kumar had told in his old interview 'Koffee with Karan' that due to budget, the shooting of the film had to be stopped midway and 'Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahi' was released without the climax. Akshay Kumar said, 'In the film, Sridevi and I hold hands and we say that we will take revenge, but we did not even shoot. When you watch the film, what is written appears on the screen and then both of them take revenge together and the film ends. This flop film could not even meet its budget. It was shot in 1994, but released in 2004.
