Sharmila Tagore credited Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar for making 'acting a wonderful profession'. Tagore said, “From Dilip Kumar to Raj Kapoor, all of them have contributed to cinema. We all are very grateful to our great men. All the films of Raj Kapoor are being released in theaters again. I hope people see these. Madhuri Dixit described Raj Kapoor as a passionate and visionary filmmaker who was willing to go to extraordinary lengths to create great cinema. Madhuri said, “Raj ji was a very passionate filmmaker. I have heard that he would mortgage his house or even sell his house to build sets or do whatever he could to make a beautiful film.”
