Made for approximately Rs 15 crore, 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' proved to be a blockbuster and earned Rs 50 crore worldwide. A major reason behind its success was the many title tracks like 'Chand Chupa Badal Mein', 'Nimbooda', 'Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan', 'Tadap Tadap', 'Dholi Taro', 'Man Mohini' and 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'. Ismail Darbar received the National Award for Best Music Direction.
