Rahul Dev was born on 27 June 1939 in Kolkata. Rahul's father Sachin Deb Burman and his entire family worked in the world of music. When Rahul was a few months old, he used to cry a lot. Rahul's grandfather notices that even Rahul's crying is in the fifth note. From here he got the name Pancham. It would not be right to say that who knew at that time that this child would nourish the music of the Indian film world with new dimensions. Rather, it would be correct to say that Rahul Dev Burman was seen cradling his feet. Rahul Dev grew up in a musical family and started composing tunes even before he became a teenager. At a young age, Rahul composed a song for his father 'Meri Topi Palat Ke Aa', so he felt that one day his son would become a great musician and that is exactly what happened. At the age of just 19, Rahul Dev Burman did his first film in 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi' (1958). People from the music world recognized Rahul Dev Burman from the very first film.
