Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra has spoken openly on the pornography case after 3 years. In an interview given to ANI, he has claimed that he has no involvement in the making and distribution of obscene videos. Raj Kundra has denied all the allegations against him. Cases are pending against him ranging from money laundering to making obscene content in his production house. Talking about all this, he said, 'All this is being done to tarnish my name. Till now I had considered it right to remain silent, but when it comes to family, I had to speak. When I remain silent, people think that I am hiding something and they do not even know the truth.

Raj Kundra breaks silence on pornography case

Speaking to ANI, Kundra said, 'A lot of speculations were being made for the last three years, but I thought that nothing would be achieved by talking about it. For me, sometimes being silent means happiness, but now the matter has come to the family. Earlier last month, the Enforcement Directorate had raided the residences of Raj Kundra and several others in connection with a money laundering probe. During the search operation, raids were conducted at about 15 places in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh. Now Kundra expressed confidence in the judicial process and said that he wants this matter to be resolved soon. He said, 'Among the 13 people included in the charge sheet, I am the only one who is saying that this case should be closed soon. If someone is guilty then he should be charged, if he is not guilty then he should be acquitted. Therefore, if even 1% of this was true, I would not have sought acquittal from the law.

Spent 63 days in jail

On July 19, 2021, Kundra was arrested for making obscene videos and promoting them through mobile apps. After spending two months in jail, he got bail in September 2021. Referring to the time he spent in custody, Kundra said, 'I was kept in Arthur Road Jail for 63 days. It was very difficult to spend those 63 days without family. As I am saying, I am fighting in the court, I am confident that I will win this case.

I have nothing to do with pornography

While talking about the pornography case, Raj Kundra also said that he has nothing to do with it. Emphasizing this, Raj said that he was supportive of technology. He said, 'Till date, I am not a part of any pornography, any production or anything related to porn. I felt very sad when this allegation came to light. According to the investigating agency, Raj formed a company named Arms Prime Media Limited in February 2019 and created an app named 'Hotshots'. Later this app was sold to his relative Pradeep Bakshi's UK based company 'Kenrin'. Police said Kundra had WhatsApp chats about Kenrin in his phone. These conversations also revealed that they had discussed selling 119 pornographic films to an individual for US$1.2 million.

Describing his business operations, Kundra said, 'As far as running the app is concerned, there was a famous company in my son's name and used to provide technology related services. We had launched an app from my brother-in-law's company Kenrin, which had these A-rated movies, but they were not obscene at all. Kundra also rejected the allegations against him.
