Nayanthara is the lady superstar of South cinema, whose popularity is not limited to the audience of South Indian films only. Nayanthara is soon going to appear among the audience with untouched and unknown aspects of her life. These days the actress is in the headlines for her documentary 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale', which will soon hit the screens among the audience. This documentary has all the stories from Nayanthara's love story to career, which has been released on Netflix. Now the actress has targeted South Cinema superstar Dhanush regarding this documentary, because Dhanush has filed a case of Rs 10 crore against the actress due to this documentary. Now Nayanthara has also expressed her displeasure over the case filed by Dhanush and has written a 3-page long open letter on social media. So what is the whole matter, about which Nayanthara is so angry, let us tell you.
What is the matter?
Actually, a clip of a song from 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' has been used in 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale' and that too of only 3 seconds. Crores have been demanded from Nayanthara on this. Nayanthara is in the lead role in this film and her husband Vignesh Shivan is its director, but it has been produced by Dhanush and he has expressed his displeasure over the use of this song. In the open letter that Nayanthara has issued against Dhanush, she has claimed that Dhanush has sent her a legal notice of Rs 10 crore for using a 3-second clip of the song.
Nayanthara wrote an open letter against Dhanush
Nayanthara wrote in her post- 'Dear King of Dhanush, this is an open letter to you to correct many wrongs. An established actor like you needs to read and understand this. As we all know cinema is a fight for survival for people like me. A self-made woman who has nothing to do with the industry. It has taken me a struggle to get to where I am today. I would attribute this to my work ethic, which is no secret to everyone who knows me, but more importantly, the goodwill of the audience and my film fraternity.
It doesn't affect only us: Nayanthara
'Not only me but many of my fans are eagerly waiting for the release of my Netflix documentary. It took a whole team of colleagues and film friends to take the project forward despite all the difficulties we faced. The retaliation you are expressing against my partner and my film affects not only us, but also the people who have given their effort and time to this project. This Netflix documentary about me, my life, my love and marriage includes clips of many well-wishers of the industry who have contributed to many films and their memories, but sadly, it does not include the most special And the important film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan is not included.
Waited 2 years for NOC
'After two long years of struggling with you for the NOC (No Objection Certificate) and waiting for your approval for our Netflix documentary release, we have finally decided to give up and re-edit it and settle for the current version. Did because you refused to give permission. Despite several requests you did not allow us to use the 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' songs or scenes and even the pictures to say the least.
Told all the lies to Dhanush
Nayanthara further writes- 'The songs of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan are appreciated till date because the lyrics of the songs come from true emotions, knowing that there is no better music than this that we can use in our documentary, you are the one who encouraged us to use it. The denial of a chance, or even just the lyrics, broke my heart. It is understandable if it is business compulsions and monetary issues that necessitate your refusal, but what is sad is that your decision is only to vent out your personal grudge against us and you deliberately delayed it for so long. Remained in a position of not taking decisions.
This is your worst level ever – Nayanthara
'What is even more shocking is your legal notice after the release of the trailer of the Netflix documentary. We were shocked to read the lines in which you questioned the use of some videos (only 3 seconds) which were shot in our personal devices and that too BTS scenes which are already publicly available on social media and An amount of Rs 10 crore was claimed. Damage for just 3 seconds. This is your worst level ever and says a lot about your character. I wish you were half the person you portrayed on stage at the audio launch in front of your innocent fans, but clearly, you don't practice what you preach in real life, at least not for me and my partner.
