Bareilly. TV serial actress Sapna Singh's 14-year-old son died after his two friends allegedly fed him intoxicants. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. Officials said that the actress protested in Bareilly against her son's death, after which the accused were arrested. According to the police, Sagar (14), a class 8 student, lived with his maternal uncle Om Prakash in Anand Vihar Colony, Bareilly. His body was found on Sunday morning near Adalkhiya village of Izzatnagar police station area, while Om Prakash had reported him missing a day earlier. Report was lodged. According to the police, according to the information provided by the family members, Sagar Gangwar had gone to school on Saturday but did not return, after which a missing report was lodged. Police said that his body was recovered on Sunday but could not be identified, however, Sagar's family members identified the body on Monday.

Police engaged in investigation after protest

The actress' protest, which lasted for over 90 minutes on Tuesday, ended after the local police assured action. According to the police, Gangwar's two friends Anuj and Sunny (both adults) were arrested on charges of murder. Area Police (Faridpur) Ashutosh Shivam said, “The cause of death could not be clarified from the post-mortem. However, there are indications of death due to excessive consumption of poison or intoxicants. The viscera of the dead body has been preserved for investigation. Inspector Sunil Kumar, in-charge of Bhuta police station, said, “Anuj and Sunny admitted during interrogation that they had consumed drugs and alcohol with Sagar. Sagar became unconscious due to excessive consumption. Panicked, they dragged Sagar to a field and left him there.'' Baradari police had filed a missing complaint by Om Prakash on December 7. After identifying the body, Anuj and Sunny were seen in the CCTV footage near the spot. They were seen dragging the unconscious Sagar.

The actress has worked in Crime Patrol and Maati Ki Banno

The officer said that after this both were detained, after the incident, protests started in Sagar's village and people blocked the road and demanded a second post-mortem. Sapna Singh, famous for her roles in TV shows 'Crime Patrol' and 'Mati Ki Banno', returned from Mumbai on Tuesday and found her son dead. She cried after seeing her son's dead body and demanded justice. Following the protests, police added a case of murder and filed a fresh FIR at Bhuta police station. Sapna demanded justice from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that the people involved in the murder of her son should be 'encountered'. He alleged that after his son was given drugs, he was stabbed and shot multiple times. Sapna alleged, “There were many wounds on his body. The police have changed the post-mortem report.
