A massive fire has erupted in the forests of the American film city Los Angeles. Due to this fire, 5 people died and hundreds of houses were burnt to ashes. This fire has shaken the entire America. America's film city Hollywood has also been affected by this fire. Oscar nomination dates have also been extended. Priyanka Chopra has also given her reaction on this fire. Priyanka has shared a post regarding this on her Instagram. In which Priyanka wrote, 'My condolences are with all those who have come under the grip of this fire. I hope you are also safe. The rapidly growing fire has destroyed thousands of acres of land and hundreds of homes. I salute all those soldiers who have been coming forward and helping people throughout the night. Decision to move forward with Oscar nominations
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended the Oscar nomination voting window. Voting for approximately 10,000 Academy members began on January 8 and is scheduled to end on January 12. However, the deadline has now been extended by two days and will end on January 14. The Academy has taken this decision in view of the huge fire increasing in Los Angeles. Not only this, the nominations which were originally scheduled to be announced on January 17, have now been announced on January 19. The academy sent an email to members on Wednesday from CEO Bill Kramer detailing the change in dates. In which the Academy wrote, 'We want to express our deepest condolences to those who have been affected by the devastating fire in Southern California. Many of our members and industry colleagues live and work in the Los Angeles area and we are thinking of you. Now the people caught in this fire are being evacuated safely. This fire that broke out amidst the harsh cold in America has worried everyone.
