Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's political thriller 'Game Changer' was released in theaters on January 10. Now this film is running in theaters for 6 days. But meanwhile, pirated copies of this film are also being circulated a lot. Not only this, this film was also premiered on a local cable. When the producer of the film saw this, he became angry. After this the producer shared its screenshot and expressed his anger. The film's producer Srinivas Kumar has made a post regarding this. In which he told that it is a serious matter that 3-4 years of hard work of hundreds of people is wasted.
In his X account, Srinivas Kumar condemned the incident and called it 'unacceptable'. Emphasizing the extensive efforts behind the making of a film, he said, 'A film which was released just 4-5 days ago is being telecast on local cable channels and on buses. Serious concerns. Cinema is not just about the hero, director or producer. This is the result of 3-4 years of hard work, dedication and dreams of thousands of people. Highlighting the financial consequences of piracy, he said, 'Think about the impact on distributors and exhibitors whose livelihoods depend on the success of these films. Such actions undermine their efforts and jeopardize the future of the film industry. Now the time has come for respected governments to come forward and take strong action to end this.
The film's collection crossed Rs 100 crore
Despite mixed to positive reviews, Game Changer took a strong start at the box office and has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India. However, its pace has been disrupted due to piracy. An HD version of the film was leaked online ahead of its release, revealing important storylines. Due to which the makers suffered further losses. Producer Dil Raju had filed a complaint with the cyber police against the culprits before the leak, alleging extortion attempts. This illegal broadcasting has added to the growing challenges for film, raising urgent questions over the protection of intellectual property in the entertainment industry.
