In his recent statement, Ram Gopal Varma has expressed doubt on the box office collection of 'Game Changer'. He said 'I liked Pushpa 2 very much but now after watching Game Changer I want to fall at the feet of Allu Arjun and Sukumar.' In another post he raised questions on the box office collection of the film claimed by the producers. He also questioned the audience's only good reaction. Along with this, it underlined the huge difference between the collections being reported by trade analysts.

Ram Gopal Varma wrote in another post, 'If Rajamouli and Sukumar gave a spectacular blow to Bollywood by making Telugu cinema skyrocket in real time collections, then the people behind GC have succeeded in proving that the makers of the South. In his long post the director highlighted that due to the wrong box office collection reported by the makers of 'Game Changer', the records set by many films like RRR, Baahubali, KGF will be in danger. Their position will become weak. Ram Gopal Varma ended his post by clarifying that Dil Raju, the producer of the Ram Charan starrer, cannot be blamed for misinterpretation of facts and figures, as he is an extremely down-to-earth and realistic person.
