When Chiranjeevi came into politics
Let us tell you, Chiranjeevi has also done politics for some time. Like his brother Pawan Kalyan, he also founded a political party. Started Praja Rajyam Party in Tirupati in the year 2008. In the 2009 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, the party won 18 out of 294 seats and secured more than 16% vote share. In 2011, the party merged with the Indian National Congress. Later that year he assumed the post of Union Minister of State for Tourism. However, he has been away from active politics since 2014. His brother Pawan Kalyan is now the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh through the Jana Sena Party in alliance with the TDP and BJP.
