Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may not be that sad for not doing this blockbuster film released in 1996, but the makers of the film were deeply hurt. While revealing, the actress had told why she had refused to do the film, after which the makers cast Karisma Kapoor in the film. Aishwarya Rai started her acting career in the year 1997 with the Tamil film 'Iruvar'. In the same year he made his Bollywood debut with 'Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya'. If Aishwarya Rai had said yes to Aamir Khan's film a year ago, she would have made a splash by entering Bollywood in 1996 itself.
Why did Aishwarya Rai reject Karishma's film?
After Aishwarya Rai's rejection, the film makers gave a chance to Karisma Kapoor and this film made the daughter of the Kapoor family a superstar of Hindi cinema. Aishwarya Rai was offered 'Raja Hindustani'. In an interview given to Vogue, India's Miss World had said, 'I am often told that my career has developed after becoming Miss World, but it is not so, even before this I got offers from films. I had offers for at least four films. Actually, I decided to participate in Miss India to take a step back from the film industry for some time. If I had not participated in Miss India, Raja Hindustani (1996) would have been my first film.
