This has happened many times in Bollywood, when a film proves to be successful at the box office, then the filmmakers bet on that title again or make films with similar names. However, the story, cast and everything of these films are different. The only thing that is similar is the title. From 'Barsaat' to 'Raaz', there are some titles of films on which many films have been made. Sometimes this formula proves to be a hit and sometimes a flop. In such a situation, the makers do not even get the amount invested in the film. Something similar happened with director Gyan Mukherjee's film also. Which was made four times with a successful film title, but out of these four, only one worked at the box office and the remaining three could not do anything amazing. This film has been made 4 times in 80 years. So let us tell you about this film title.

The first film named Kismat was released in 1945.

Here we are talking about films made with the name 'Kismat'. The first film named Kismat came in the year 1943, in which Ashok Kumar and Mumtaz Shanti were seen together in the lead roles. The director of this film was Gyan Mukherjee. At that time the total cost of making the film was 2 lakhs and the film made a handsome earning of 10 lakhs. Even today the audience likes this film very much. The IMBD rating of the film is 7.9 out of 10.

Luck came in 1968

Seeing the great success of the 1943 film, another film named 'Kismat' was made in 1968. Its director was Manmohan Desai. The story of the film has been written jointly by Manmohan Desai and Brij Katyal. Biswajit Chatterjee, Babita Kapoor, Helen and Kamal Mehra were seen in lead roles in the film. The cost of the film was 60 lakhs and the film did a business of 1.40 crores.

Govinda also tried his luck

After 1968, once again in 1995, a film named 'Kismat' came to the theaters. Govinda and Mamta Kulkarni, the first choice of 90s superstars and makers, were seen in this film. The director of this film was Harmesh Malhotra. The audience liked the songs of the film very much, but not the film. The film proved to be a flop at the box office. The total budget of the film was Rs 3 crores and the earning of the film was also almost equal to the budget.

A film named Kismat came again in 2004.

Once again the makers tried their luck and again in 2004 the film 'Kismat' was released at the box office. The director of this film is Guddu Dhanoa. Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra were seen in the lead roles in the film, but the film got mixed response at the box office. The budget of the film was around Rs 7 crore and the earning of the film was only Rs 8 crore 46 lakh.
