Foreign investors are continuously selling
According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 3,228.08 crore on Monday while DIIs (domestic institutional investors) bought shares worth Rs 1,400.85 crore. In other markets of Asia, South Korea's Kospi, Japan's Nikkei and Hong Kong's Hang Seng were in profit while China's Shanghai Composite was in loss. There was a bullish trend in the major markets of Europe in afternoon trading. American markets were in gains on Monday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude rose 0.66 percent to $71.89 per barrel.
