These include new services (features) like helmet selfie and giving priority to female passengers for female drivers. They aim to make the experience of over 1 million drivers or driver partners on their platform “safe, simple and fair”. Additionally, in support of the government's Code on Social Security (COSS), Uber announced to promote registration on the e-Shram platform, which will be an integrated database of 'gig' workers and unorganized workers. Temporary employees working for an online platform are called gig workers.

The feature encourages two-wheeler drivers to take a selfie wearing a helmet before starting their journey, thereby ensuring that they are safe on the road. The feature also prevents drivers from logging in without a helmet, reinforcing Uber's commitment to safety and supporting the government's vision for safer roads. Currently in the final testing phase, helmet validation is expected to begin across the country early next year.

Drivers can now record audio. If they feel uncomfortable during the journey or are worried about their safety. The encrypted recording is not accessible to the driver or rider, ensuring privacy. Uber does not access audio unless the driver chooses to submit it as part of a safety report. This feature is available across the country in accordance with India's one-party consent law.
