PM Modi Today we will start Bima Sakhi scheme from Panipat. This scheme is being started to economically empower 1 lakh women in the age group of 18-70 years across the country. In this scheme, 10th pass women will be trained as LIC agents and will be given a stipend of Rs 7000 in the first year. At the same time, a monthly stipend of Rs 6,000 will be given in the second year and Rs 5,000 in the third year. The objective of this scheme is to make women self-reliant and promote financial literacy.
Initial funding of Rs 100 crore
The government has given initial funding of Rs 100 crore for the Bima Sakhi scheme. The objective of this scheme is to bring financial literacy among women and make them self-reliant. The primary objective of Bima Sakhi Yojana is to ensure job opportunities and fixed income to rural women. With this, the rural population where employment options are limited will be able to get a better life.
Special training will be given for 3 years
To make women financially literate and strong, special training will be given for three years under the Bima Sakhi Scheme. Besides, women will also be given Stephen for three years. Let us tell you that after training, 10th pass women will work as LIC agents. At the same time, graduate Bima Sakhis will also get an opportunity to work in the role of Development Officer in LIC. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also distribute appointment certificates to prospective Bima Sakhis today.
