The annual customer base will increase from 35 lakh to one crore in the next five years.
How to make passport from post office
People used to go to the Passport Service Center to get a passport made, but now all these services are being provided from the Common Service Center of the Post Office. You can register and apply for a passport at the CSC counter of your nearest post office. To apply for a passport, you can register and apply online. For this you will have to register yourself on the official website of the post office. After this you will have to submit the online fee and form for making the passport. After this process is completed, you will get a date. On that day you will have to go to the nearest post office for verification with your documents.
What documents will be required
To get a passport, birth certificate, high school mark sheet, voter ID, PAN card, Aadhar card, driving license, ration card and an affidavit made by a notary will be required. Document verification will take place in the post office. If the document is found correct, the process will proceed. During this, fingerprint and retina scan of the applicant will be done. After document verification you will be issued a passport.
