iPhone Manufacturing company Apple has recorded record revenue so far in India. Senior officials of the company gave this information on Friday. The company said, during the period under review, total net sales increased by more than six percent to $ 94.93 billion, which was $ 89.49 billion a year ago. There has been a double-digit growth in iPad sales in the country in July-September 2024. Apple's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook, while giving information about the company's earnings, said, we have seen growth in sales of iPad in America, Europe and the rest of Asia Pacific region. September quarter revenue records were recorded in several countries including the US, Brazil, Mexico, France, UK, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and UAE. We are extremely pleased with the enthusiasm we are seeing in India where we have recorded all-time record revenues.

Apple preparing to open four new stores

Cook said Apple also opened two new stores in the country this quarter. One store was opened in Mumbai and the other in Delhi. He said, we are excited to open four new stores for customers in India. Apple had announced plans to open four more stores in India in early October, in Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and Mumbai. According to a Counterpoint Research report, the share of Apple iPhone sales in value terms in India in the September 2024 quarter was 21.6 percent, which is slightly less than Samsung.

Big jump in iPhone sales

Apple's revenue from product sales increased 4.12 percent to $69.95 billion in the July-September 2023 quarter compared to $67.18 billion in the same period this year. iPhone sales increased by about 5.5 percent to $46.22 billion from $43.8 billion on an annual basis. Luca Maestri, Apple's senior vice president and chief financial officer, said the iPad generated revenue of US$7 billion, an eight percent increase over the previous year. In addition to growth in developed markets, we also saw strong performance in several emerging markets, with double-digit growth in Mexico, Brazil, the Middle East, India and South Asia.
