WhatsApp had earlier limited this facility only to primary devices. Apart from this feature, WhatsApp has also introduced a Save Only on WhatsApp feature. In this, users will get the facility to save any new phone number only in WhatsApp.
Two exciting features rolled out
WhatsApp gave information about two new features through its blog post. Both the new features are Add Contacts Across Devices and Save Only to WhatsApp. Before this, information about these features had been revealed in leaks many times. Both these features were spotted in the beta version also. Finally, after a long time, the company has now rolled out both these features for the users.
In the Add Contacts Across Devices feature, users will now be able to save new contacts in the phone through the linked device and along with this they will also be able to edit the contact through the connected device. This feature was earlier limited to primary devices only. On the other hand, if we talk about Save Only to WhatsApp, now WhatsApp users can save a new phone number only on WhatsApp. This feature is going to prove to be most beneficial for those users who want to keep their personal and professional numbers separate.
