Shardiya Navratri has started from 3rd October, which will end on 11th October. During this time, devotees observe a fast and worship Goddess Durga and seek her blessings. The festival of Navratri lasts for nine days, so most of the devotees also keep fast for nine days, which becomes the cause of physical weakness. Actually, fasting is meant to detoxify the mind and body and people forget to ensure whether they are doing it right or not. The most important thing to do while fasting is that people keep their body hydrated. People do not do this work, due to which their body becomes weak and then they start feeling dizzy. In such a situation, let us know about some beverages, which will help in keeping you hydrated during the fast.
Try sweet lassi- There may be a craving to eat sweets during the fast. In such a situation, you can consume Punjabi Lassi. Its recipe is also easy. To make Punjabi Lassi, you need 2 cups curd, half cup (100 grams) sugar, teaspoon cardamom powder, a few strands of saffron, one teaspoon rose water and half cup water. Now mash the curd well in a bowl. Add sugar and keep stirring until all the sugar dissolves. Add cold curd, water, rose water, saffron and cardamom powder. Churn until a layer of foam forms on top. Pour into a glass with ice cubes and garnish with chopped nuts.

Drink fresh fruit juice- It is advisable to consume fruits during the fast. If you do not want to eat fruits, you can consume their juice. Consuming fresh fruit juices during the fast will provide your body with essential vitamins and antioxidants. If you want to keep your body hydrated and fresh throughout the day, you can drink orange and pomegranate juice.
Try the sweet and salty syrup of Shattu- Sattu sherbet will help in keeping your body fresh during the fast. To make this, mix sattu flour in water and then add rock salt or jaggery in it. You can make it just sweet or just salty.

Coconut water is the best- Coconut water is a refreshing and hydrating drink, which is low in calories and a rich and natural source of essential electrolytes. The essential electrolytes present in coconut help balance the body's requirements during fasting. This maintains the energy level in the body.
