There is less than a month left for the start of the ICC Champions Trophy, due to which all the 8 teams want to keep their preparations completely strong before that. In this series, the host Pakistan team will play a tri-series at home against South Africa and New Zealand from 8 to 14 February, for which the entire schedule has also been announced by the PCB.
Tri series matches will be played in Lahore and Karachi
While the Champions Trophy will start from 19th February, before that the Tri Series will be played from 8th February, in which the matches will be played in two cities of Pakistan, Lahore and Karachi. While Pakistan has not yet announced its team for the Champions Trophy, the teams of New Zealand and South Africa have been announced, in which their same teams will also be seen playing in the tri-series. The first two matches of the tri-series will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, while this will be followed by one match and the final match in Karachi.
You will get a good opportunity to prepare before the Champions Trophy
While the Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan will be played on the grounds of Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi, the Indian team will play its matches on the grounds of Dubai. In such a situation, the teams of New Zealand and South Africa will get a great opportunity to strengthen their preparations through the tri-series. In which the African team is a part of Group-B in the Champions Trophy, in which it has to play its matches in Karachi and Rawalpindi only. Let us tell you that Pakistan team is currently playing a 2-match test series with West Indies at home, after which it will play in this tri-series.
