The subsidiary company of food delivery platform Zomato has now taken the initiative to provide ambulance service in emergency along with everyday goods. The company has started this emergency service in Gurugram adjacent to Delhi. Soon, it will be launched in other cities also. Blinkit head Albinder Dhindsa has announced this through its official social media platform X.

Blinkit's CEO and Founder wrote in his social media post, 'Ambulance in 10 minutes' is our first step towards providing fast and reliable ambulance service in cities. The first 5 ambulances will be available on the roads in Gurugram from today i.e. January 2. We will expand this service to more areas soon. You can book ambulances with Basic Life Support (BLS) through Blinkit app.
Will be equipped with basic life support
Quick commerce and food delivery platforms have been criticized many times on social media, with many netizens suggesting bringing in an ambulance service. However, now Blinkit has taken this initiative to show a mirror to other quick commerce platforms. Dhindsa told in his post that Blinkit's ambulance will have oxygen cylinder, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), stretcher, monitor, suction machine and necessary emergency medicines and injections for basic life support.
Available in every major cities in 2 years
Every ambulance of Blinkit will be equipped with a paramedic, an assistant and a trained driver, so that the patients can get the necessary medical services. The founder of the company said in his post that his step is not to earn profits. We will provide this service at an affordable cost so that this major problem can be resolved in the long run. The company said that in the next two years this emergency service will be made available in all major cities of the country.
