What is the specialty of the bridge?
Let us tell you that Pamban Bridge is the first bridge in the country to open vertically. The total length of this bridge is 2.05 km. Compared to the old bridge, the new bridge is three meters higher and 22 meters above sea level. The structure of the bridge is designed for double lines. Trains will be able to operate from both sides. In this respect also, this is the first bridge in the country, through which trains will be able to run at speed. Due to which the train will be able to run at a speed of 80 km. The speed of the train on the old bridge was 10 km per hour.
