Superstar Rajinikanth is going to celebrate his 74th birthday on 12th December this year. On the occasion of his birthday, Rajinikanth is also releasing the promo of the sequel of his Rs 400 crore film Jailer. Jailer-2 has been announced. Now this film is ready to hit the theaters soon. The makers are also going to reveal the complete details of this film on Rajinikanth's birthday, 12th December. A South trade tracker revealed in an ex post that the promo shoot of the Nelson Dilipkumar directed film is likely to happen on December 5 and the makers will release it on his birthday. The makers of Rajinikanth's second film Coolie are also trying to create something special for the fans of the film Thalaivar which is releasing on his birthday. This means fans should be prepared for a double treat this December.

Will blow the coolie with the jailer

While Coolie is a standalone film, Jailer 2 is the sequel to Rajinikanth's super-hit 2023 crime-thriller. The actor played the role of a retired policeman in the film and it grossed over Rs 600 crore worldwide in its lifetime becoming one of the biggest hits in Tamil Nadu and in the superstar's long career. It also featured Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia, Yogi Babu and Vasanth Ravi among others in important roles. Meanwhile, Coolie Superstar is going to have another summer release. It is an action-thriller featuring a stellar star-cast including Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahid, Shruti Haasan and Sathyaran in pivotal roles. The makers have not yet announced the official release date of the film, but it is expected to hit the screens in the first half of 2025.
