Colombo: At least 12 people have died and more than 3.30 lakh people have been affected in Sri Lanka due to inclement weather following heavy rains in the south-west Bay of Bengal. Officials have given information about this on Thursday. Eight of the dead are said to be from the eastern district of Ampara. Officials said the inclement weather was a result of a deep pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, which mainly affected the eastern province.
