Ever since the massive victory of the grand alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP in the assembly elections held in Maharashtra, the discussion is going on as to who will be the next Chief Minister of the state. According to the information, there is a tussle going on between BJP and Shiv Sena regarding the post of CM. Now amidst the ongoing tussle over the post of CM, Eknath Shinde has taken a big decision. Shinde has ordered all Shiv Sena MLAs to return to their respective assembly constituencies.
Why were the MLAs sent back?
In fact, after the election results, all the Shiv Sena MLAs were immediately called to Mumbai. Shiv Sena MLAs have been staying in Taj Land Hotel in Mumbai since November 24. During this time, efforts were also made by Shiv Sena MLAs to put pressure on BJP for the post of CM. But since no decision has been taken yet on the post of Chief Minister, all the MLAs have been asked to return to their assembly constituencies.
When will the swearing in take place?
Eknath Shinde's party Shiv Sena has asked all the party MLAs to be ready to return to Mumbai as soon as further orders are received. According to the information received so far, the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Maharashtra may take place in the first week of December. Therefore, it is believed that an announcement regarding the CM face can also be made soon.
Who has how many seats?
In the recently concluded assembly elections in Maharashtra, BJP, part of the Mahayuti alliance, won 132 seats, NCP won 41 and Shiv Sena won 57 seats (total 230). At the same time, Shiv Sena (UBT), included in Mahavikas Aghadi, has won 20 seats, Congress 16 and NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) 10 (total 46) seats. The remaining 12 seats have been won by other parties or independent candidates.
