The election campaign in Maharashtra is currently in an interesting phase. A fierce war of words is being witnessed. On Tuesday, Yogi Adityanath held rallies in Amravati, Akola and Nagpur and responded to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Kharge had said that if Yogi has to raise slogans like 'Bantenge to Katenge', then he should take off his saffron robe.
On this Yogi said that saffron is the identity of Sanatan, he is a Yogi, he speaks the truth, that is why he is reminding Kharge of the history. Kharge's family was burnt by the Nizam's Razakars in the riots of 1946 because at that time Hindus were divided into castes. Yogi said that in the name of votes, Kharge is hiding the tragedy that happened to his family, but he is openly saying that it is necessary to remain united, because if we divide, we will be divided.
Mallikarjun Kharge's statement to which Yogi responded was given by him while addressing Congress workers at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi on August 17 last year. Kharge had told how his house was burnt in the riots of 1946, his mother, sister, brother, uncle were all brutally burnt. Kharge was a child at that time. His father somehow saved him and ran away from the village, and later settled in Gulbarga, Karnataka. But while telling this, Kharge does not mention who was behind these riots?
Actually, the Razakars of the then Nizam of Hyderabad were behind these riots of 1946-1947. Yogi caught this very thing. What Yogi said means that Kharge deliberately does not mention the Razakars of the Nizam because the Congress party is worried about the votes of Muslims. A BJP leader commented that Kharge's family was killed by the Nizam's Jihadi Razakars and he calls Hindus terrorists. What kind of secularism is this? There is a lot of discussion about this political maneuver in the Maharashtra elections.
Saffron was mentioned in Maharashtra elections because of Kharge's statement. It is certain that Yogi's slogan has become a hit. Sadhus and saints are now openly standing in support of Yogi. On Tuesday, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya said that whatever Yogi said was true. Saffron bearers have always told the truth to the society and shown the right path, hence it would be better if we do not speak on the issue of saffron. Kharge had said that it would be better if those wearing saffron stay away from politics. On this, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya said that if saffron-clad people do politics, then politics will be better otherwise there will be a gathering of criminals in it.
