However, some charges are levied by UIDAI for this. At present this facility is free till 14 December 2024.

To change any detail in Aadhaar Card, you will have to upload the supporting documents related to it. No changes will be made in your Aadhar card details without verification of supporting documents. For example, if you want to update the date of birth in your Aadhar card, then you will have to upload the birth certificate or high school mark sheet as a supporting document.
According to UIDAI, the request to update details in Aadhaar card is approved within 30 days. However, it may take up to 90 days to update some details.
