The Australian government has decided to ban children under 16 years of age from using social media. The government of Thani Albanese is going to present a law in this regard in the Parliament of Australia this month. Announcing the new law, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that social media is having a very bad impact on children and he has taken this decision after talking to many parents, guardians, experts and children.
Under this new law, it will be the responsibility of social media companies to enforce the ban on social media for children up to 16 years of age. Australia will be the first country in the world to ban social media for children up to 16 years of age. Albanese said that 'Social media is causing a lot of harm to our children and now I am going to stop it. I have talked to thousands of parents. Like me, they are very concerned about the safety of their children in the online world, and I want to let Australian parents and families know that the government is now with them. Now parents will be able to tell their children that social media is not for them. The law does not allow them to do this.
There is concern all over the world about how much harm children are caused by the use of mobile phones and digital media, and this concern is justified, but we should remember that adults also suffer harm; It is also made in Hindi and children learn from it. Four people are sitting in a room at home, instead of talking to each other, everyone is busy looking at their phones and sending messages. That's why making laws will do nothing.
If children are to be saved from this tragedy, then parents will have to impose restrictions on themselves, they will have to control their use of mobile and digital media. Only then will they be able to explain to the children. Nowadays, when a child cries, parents put a mobile phone in his hand instead of loving him to silence him. Unless we stop such habits, we will not be able to stop children from using mobile phones. (Rajat Sharma)
