On the other hand, there are some seats in Mahayuti also on which there is controversy. This is the reason why NCP leader Nawab Malik is asking to contest the elections as an independent and BJP has opposed his candidature from NCP.

What did Nawab Malik say after filing nomination?

In fact, in view of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, NCP leader Nawab Malik has filed his nomination today from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar Assembly seat. After filing the nomination he said, “I have filed my nomination. As an independent candidate and also as an NCP candidate. I have not received the AB form of the party, if it comes on time, I will join the NCP.” “I will contest the elections either as a candidate or as an independent candidate.” Let us tell you that recently the Bharatiya Janata Party had opposed the candidature of Nawab Malik. After this, it started coming to light that Nawab Malik can contest elections only as an independent.

BJP opposed the candidature of Nawab Malik

BJP leader Ashish Shelar had said on Tuesday that his party is against the candidature of NCP leader Nawab Malik for the Maharashtra Assembly elections to be held on November 20. BJP's Mumbai unit president Ashish Shelar said that we will not accept giving ticket to anyone associated with Don Dawood Ibrahim. He said that we will not support Malik and will keep our separate stand. Let us tell you that Nawab Malik was a minister in the MVA government. In the year 2022, NIA arrested him in the case registered against associates of Dawood and Chhota Shakeel. After the split of NCP, Nawab Malik had joined Ajit Power's faction, although even during this time BJP had opposed it.
